These are a great snack but can also be added to salads to create a meal.
Add the sunflower seeds into a fry pan and gently dry roast on a medium heat. Stir continuously till seeds are lightly browned. Turn the heat off and quickly stir the tamari into the seeds. Pour into a bowl and allow to cool. Once cool these can be stored in a an airtight container for a week or two.
- 4 cups of sunflower seeds
- 2 tablespoons of tamari (or soy sauce)
2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds = 1 Apple
